Singer/song-writer and producer Sewuese is an emerging artist from West London.
Sewuese crafts dynamic RnB pop songs with an air of inspired force. Often dubbed 'cinematic', her bold pop and rock-rebel influences reveal a refreshingly charismatic personality, which makes her introversion a surprise.
Preparing her first official solo release, Sewuese's dues in the industry reach to her work with Grammy alumni Alex Metric, Alex DaKid, Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music, 7Wallace (Idris Elba), David Arnold, Eska Mtungwazi, Troy Miller and Linden-Jay to name few.
She has honed an arresting live presence, fronting performances for ITV, Facebook, Youtube, Pandora, and Tate Modern, and completing two 2-year residencies at exclusive London clubs Annabel’s and The Arts Club Mayfair respectively. Despite the grand and tempting offers from various major artists, Sewuese held fast to her vision and craft.
US clothing brand Splendid were impressed by Sewuese’s vocal tone and song-writing on ‘The Kids Are Free’, using the song for their summer ad campaign. Created with producer Morgan Spacek, the song was set to visuals by American virtuoso Heather Sommerfield of Rihanna x Calvin Klein and Mario Sorrenti fame.
Rising demand for Sewuese beyond singing, saw her appear both as a host/performer of the BBC Showcase TV event (billed with Alison Moyet and Tinie Tempah), and as a Raindance Film Festival juror and award presenter (alongside Julian Assange, Sean Brosnan and Beth Gibbons of Portishead).
Central to all though, are Sewuese's voice and story: Her voice has a rich and crystalline tone that shimmers to the core of most hearts, including RnB superstar Usher who she brought to tears. Her story is of true-life turmoil and triumph that serve as her motive and muse. Both are powerful, both are compelling, and are brought together to inspire human connection using a brave, uplifting sound, that can make us dance and cry.
